PIANO LESSONS

WHAT'S ON OFFER

Catherine offers one-on-one piano lessons to students in her studio located at Kildallon (70 Court Street, Mudgee).
Depending on a student’s age and level, there are 30 minute, 45 minute and 60 minute lessons available. Young beginners may commence tuition with 30 minute lessons, progressing up to 45 minute lessons when recommended.
Lessons are fun and engaging for students of all ages and cover technique, notation, theory, aural perception, performance skills, and many other important musical concepts.

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

You will need a piano or keyboard in your home. Please contact me if you need assistance with this as I'm happy to provide advice. Keyboards can often be purchased second-hand for as little as $300 through music stores or online (Facebook marketplace is a great place to look!). All lesson resources and materials are included in the lesson fee except for method books for which I will make recommendations and can simply add those costs to your term’s invoice. Method books and other repertoire books I regularly use and recommend are Faber Piano Adventures, Piano Safari, Wunderkeys, Supersonics and Suzuki.

EXAMS & PERFORMANCES

If you would like your child to take an ANZCA or AMEB exam please discuss with me and I will provide you with a detailed plan and timeline to make that happen.

Performance opportunities are available throughout the year in both Mudgee and Gulgong and provide a goal for students to work towards.
